My name is Carly and I am so glad you made it to this page!
Nice to meet you
A few fun facts about me - I'm an artsy, outdoorsy girlie who has been married for a few years now with a mini golden doodle named Dune! I truly value strong friendships and pretty landscapes and love that photography entails both of those things!
Apart from photography, I am also a full-time Elementary school teacher. Right now I am taking on limited Weddings during the school year, but have full availability during the summer season.
The Reason behind Branch + Vine Studios
John 15:5 says “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”
I love this verse for two reasons:
One is the imagery. I absolutely love nature and can become so easily awestruck by God’s creation. Pretty sunsets, grassy fields, mountainous landscapes, oceans, rivers, and trails (there’s so much more!) Vines and branches are commonly found in the places that I love and the places I get to photograph!
Secondly, Jesus shares some pretty cool reasoning behind this imagery. He shares the relationship between the vine (Him) and the branches (us). By faith, it’s important that we stay connected to Christ every second of every day so that we can live the most God-honouring and abundant living life out there. This is where we will find peace and fruitfulness in Christ. We are God’s handiwork. Apart from Him, we can do nothing. My goal is to keep Christ at the center while meeting new faces (like you!) and photographing them in the most beautiful places that He created.
